​What is a Vector Maestro?

A Vector Maestro can draw a line by manipulating the anchors, bezier curves and handles of a line with any of the tools in Adobe Illustrator. 
Some Vector Maestros take it further with other apps and programs like Adobe Fresco, Sketch for Mac, Affinity Designer, Corel Draw and various Android apps!

What does Vector Maestros do?

Vector Maestros is a hands on, 1 on 1, vector art sessions where we focus on three main themes: 
Vector Art Training fundamentals for different vector art purposes. 
Developing Skills for Vector Art in any app, any device. 
And the Business of Art to successfully follow a creative career. ​

What is the difference between Behance Subs and 1-on-1 Sessions?

​There are big differences. Behance subscribers are part of a group or artists with special access whereas 1 on 1 sessions are between the artist and DTM. 

These two options give artists a chance to choose the best option for their learning experience and budget. 

A Behance Subscription is $10 a month and provides access to the Subscriber's only livestream every Tuesday at 10am, EST plus a behind the scenes look at Artist interviews show share their creative career experience.

The 1 on 1 sessions start at $350 and are standalone learning opportunities to go over any part of the Vector maestros Agenda at the pace of the artist. We can schedule one session or many sessions and even a full day boot camp where the focus is only what the artist is ready to learn.

Who are these courses for?

People who want to:

What apps do you use?

We mainly focus on Adobe Illustrator and Fresco as they are widely available as a monthly or yearly subscription.

​We do however, like to explore all available apps that help us create our art. Check out the current list of Vector Apps HERE

Do I need to know how to draw?

No. You will be supplied with reference images to work from but you're welcome to use sketches, pictures or other reference images during the course. ​
​

Will I learn how to draw?

Yes! We will use drawing techniques when working with vectors and we will share enough info to get you sketching design ideas. Welcome to art!

Will I need a computer?

Yes. Mac or PC, the choice is yours.  
Our focus is creating Vector illustrations on Illustrator and Adobe has a subscription model that allows their software to install in Mac or PC.
Sorry, No Linux. 
We will also share info on other software like CorelDraw (works on Mac/PC)  Affinity Designer and Sketch that only work on Mac, Microsoft Expression Design that only works on PC. 

Do I need adobe illustrator?

Yes. Your choices are: 
a. Subscribe to the full Creative Cloud and get all Adobe programs.
b. Subscribe and pay only for Adobe Illustrator.
c. Download the Free 30 Day Trial of Adobe Illustrator while taking the class so you can decide later if you wish to pay for the monthly subscription. 
d. An older version of Illustrator will work as well, CS3 and up please.
